No invented case studies. A published standard instead.
When the first engagements finish, this page will carry real numbers with client approval. Until then it carries the method you can hold me to.
The standard
What a VELTRONIC case study will contain — before there is one.
Most agency case studies are unfalsifiable: a percentage, a logo and no baseline. The format below is fixed in advance so that when the first one is published, you can judge it against a standard rather than against a mood.
- The starting position, including the numbers that were bad
- What was actually done, in enough detail to be repeated
- The measurement method and the tool it came from
- The result, with the time period and the caveats
- What did not work along the way
- Client approval on every figure before publication
If a future case study on this page is missing any of those six things, it is not a case study and you should discount it.
How success is measured
The same scoreboard on every engagement
01 · Qualified leads
Enquiries from buyers who can actually purchase — not raw traffic.
02 · Cost per acquisition
What each channel costs to produce a customer, including fees.
03 · Pipeline value
Opportunity value created, not impressions served.
04 · Retention
Whether clients stay — the metric that keeps the others honest.
Baselines are recorded in week one, before anything is changed. Without a baseline, every later claim is unfalsifiable — which is exactly why so many agencies skip it.
A worked example
What the first month actually looks like
Anonymised structure from a typical SEO engagement, so you know what you are buying rather than what it is called.
- Baseline recordedSearch Console impressions, clicks, average position for the priority set; GA4 conversions; CRM source data.
- Technical fixes shippedIndexation, canonicalisation, internal links, structured data, page speed. Documented in a change log you keep.
- Content briefs approvedTwo articles on the National tier, each mapped to a buying stage and a real question.
- ReportingMonth-one movement is usually flat. That is expected and it is reported as flat, not spun.
Why this page is not full of logos
Because the fastest way to lose a careful buyer is to show them a wall of clients they cannot verify. A new business that says "we are new" is easier to trust than one that manufactures a decade of history.
If you need to see work before hiring, ask on the call and I will walk you through a live account — with permission, and with the client's name attached.
If that is not enough evidence, that is a reasonable position and I would rather you walk away now than be disappointed later.
