Generative engine optimisation

When a buyer asks an AI assistant for a shortlist, you either appear or you do not. GEO is the work of becoming a source those systems trust enough to name.

The problem

Generative engines do not rank pages. They assemble an answer from sources they already trust — and they trust entities they can verify: a consistent business name, a real address, independent mentions, structured facts, and pages that state things clearly enough to be quoted.

That means GEO is mostly unglamorous entity and citation work. It is also genuinely early, which is why I will not sell you a dashboard that pretends to measure more than it can.

What changes

  • A consistent entity across your site, schema and every third-party listing
  • Content written to be quotable — specific claims, dates, numbers
  • Citations from sources generative engines actually retrieve
  • A fixed prompt set tracked monthly so you can see movement, not vibes

What is included

Everything below is in the standard engagement. Nothing is held back for an upsell.

  • Entity audit: name, address, phone, descriptions and category consistency across the web
  • Schema work: Organization, Service, Person and FAQ markup that states facts plainly
  • LLM-friendly content architecture — answer-first pages, definitions, comparison tables
  • Citation building on directories, industry lists and partner pages that get retrieved
  • Monthly AI-visibility report against a fixed prompt set, with the raw answers
  • Quarterly review of what changed in the engines and what it means for you

How it runs

The first ninety days

  1. BaselineWe record what five assistants currently say about your category and your brand. That baseline is the whole point — otherwise nobody can prove progress.
    Weeks 1–2
  2. EntityFix the inconsistencies first. Duplicate addresses and mismatched descriptions are the most common reason a brand is not retrievable.
    Weeks 2–4
  3. ContentRewrite the pages an assistant would need in order to recommend you, with quotable specifics.
    Month 2
  4. TrackMonthly prompt set, raw answers saved, changes explained in plain language.
    Ongoing

Who this is for

  • B2B companies whose buyers already use AI assistants to build shortlists
  • Brands with a category position worth defending
  • Companies prepared to be patient for 3–6 months

Who it is not for

  • Anyone wanting guaranteed ChatGPT recommendations — nobody can honestly offer that
  • Brands with no web presence at all; fix the basics first
  • Companies that need results this quarter and nothing else

Questions

Straight answers

Can you guarantee we appear in ChatGPT?
No. The models change, the retrieval changes, and no one outside those companies controls the output. What I can do is make you retrievable, quotable and verifiable, then show you the prompts where you moved.
Is GEO worth paying for in 2026?
For B2B categories where buyers research before contacting sales, yes — as a supplement to SEO, not a replacement. If your buyers never ask an assistant anything, spend the money on ads instead.
How is this measured?
A fixed set of 30–50 buyer prompts, run monthly on the same assistants, with raw answers saved. You see exactly what changed. Anything more precise than that would be invented.
